Tim is currently writing an oboe concerto for Christopher Redgate, to be played on the Howarth Redgate
21st century oboe. Christopher’s 3 years work in collaboration with the oboe maker Howarth of London has
resulted in the redesign of significant aspects of the key-work of the oboe.
The aim has been to develop an oboe which is specifically designed for the performance of contemporary repertoire.

The Tim Perkins concerto will be premiered at the Sheldonian Theatre, Oxford on Saturday 19th August. For more information, see:
